The family support or information strand of the Balanced System is about helping parents, carers and families be confident and well informed to support their child's development of understanding, talking and communication and to find out more if you are worried about any of these areas.

You will find information, advice, guidance and support that helps you as a family feel more confident that you know how to encourage your child's development of understanding, talking and communicating.  Family Support resources will include leaflets, videos, information sessions that you can go to, as well as pointers to useful websites and even TV programmes that have been specially produced.  If you are worried about how your child is developing these skills and want more detailed information you will be able to find it here as well and you may also want to go to the workforce or 'who can help' strand for local contact information.
