The environment or home strand of the Balanced System is where you can find ideas, suggestions and resources that can help you organise your home to help your child develop their understanding, talking and communication.  You will find suggestions of simple changes that can help a lot, such as turning off the TV if you are playing with your child, through to ideas of resources that you might get with the help of your child's setting or school or even a specialist such as a speech and language therapist if your child has identified needs.

Small Talk helps parents turn the activities they are already doing with their baby every day into new opportunities to build communication skills.
